VirginIslands.net On Auction

Greatdomains.com will be conducting an online auction on 17 January.  The only geo domain listed is VirginIslands.net with a reserve price set between $1-4,999.  It is a good geo domain with over 100 million results in google.com that can be turned into a gold mine if developed correctly.

    Thanks for the information, it’s interesting and more interesting will be the price it sells at.

    A little off-topic, but not so much : do you think a .net is OK to develop a website for a city > 100K people ? What traffic loss can be expected and given to the .com, like for VirginIslands.com when VirginIslands.net will be developped ?

    I think it would be difficult to make a .net into a “goldmine” the money you’d spend would be put to better use in a .com
