Thanks for the info - great to see what things are going for currently - always interesting to see the disparity between similar names.

    alarmservice.com $10,000
    housealarms.com $14,000

some of that may be the result of someone wanting both domains or someone losing on the first one for their business and deciding they HAD to have the second.

On one hand it is a 40% disparity on the other it is “only” $4,000.

What is your take on these types of disparities in results?

    Steve,

It comes down to two factors: End Users intent or Domain Investor specializing in a niche. What so many people fail to realize is that every successful domainer focuses on a niche at one time or another. I am not sure if the same guy won both auctions.

Chances are it was the same guy. We will have to wait and see. Once the whois is updated, we can conclude an effective answer to your question based on facts.

    Thanks

  2. Michael Says:

Is there any data on how many of these sales were actually completed?

    ***SMO***

    Michael,

Nothing has been posted as of yet on completed sales/transactions. These are just what the names sold for/closed on at auction. To see the completed sales, you will have to wait until DNJournal.com posts them on their site. This is when they have been validated as transferred and paid for.

    Thanks,
    Steve
