Todays auction did not turn out to be as exciting in sales as most had predicted.  However, it was still an outstanding performance for the domain industry.  DomainFest has just concluded the final auction of the conference.  They sold over $2.3 million in domain sales on auction today.

The top names sold were; porn.net $400,000, bookmarks.com $300,000 photograph.com $195,000, females.com $90,000, and intimate.com $80,000.  There is still the extended auction that will take place from 24-27 January that will add to the bottomline of this successful auction.

The auction was held at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood.  This was an exciting auction overall for the beginning of 2008!  Thank you for visiting the blog during these live updates.  Your comments are welcomed.

Wow! Is that a record for a .net sale?

    Bookmarks.com was probably a good buy, females.com … that’s a steal!

It might be Rich. Bookmarks.com was a great buy for his business plan. He did not buy it to flip it. Elliot wrote about this domain on his blog.

The domain names which have sold at Domain Fest have sold for a great $ amount.

The domain name market is just beginning to emerge.

Many fortunes will be made in the next 5 - 10 years due to the fact that demand is greater than the supply.
