“What’s Happening In My Neighborhood?”
“The easiest way to keep track of what’s happening on your block, in your neighborhood and all over your city.” This is an interesting platform I came across today while visiting Greg Sterling’s blog and following link trails. Greg is an expert in local technology and finds some of the most interesting platforms coming to market. I think Geo domainers could benefit greatly from this platform as it continues to add new features and spreads into other cities. Currently, it is only being offered in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. You can learn a great deal on this platform on EveryBlock’s Blog.

Nice find, Steve; have saved it for possible future use.
Thanks!

Your Welcome
HI Steve
THis is the kind thing would not want to have on a Geo site.
if your going for advertisng $ would you like to see your advert beside something like knife crime.
Something like this will do your Goe name more harm than anything else.
Sample of this 2 years ago was at the geo show in chicago
Now do I really want to know who got killed and why in chicago.
Nope i do not it would put me off going to the place

Tommy,
With the current way it is right now, I agree with you. However, if they provide a variety of selections to choose from to present about your neighborhood, this would be very beneficial. The possibilities are endless with the right structure and mix for publishers/developers.
You have to remember all these platforms coming out are brand new. So it will take users and those interested to submit feedback to the companies for them to perfect it. It is hard to see all the angles when you are in a box. Most of these GEO/location platforms being released are bare bones and are relying for those outside of the box to provide direction on how it can improved to be useful.
The surge of Geo/Location platforms have only occured in the past 2 years. A very young technology, that will evolve into amazing things in the next couple of years.
