Rob Grant Builds Empire With The Help Of Geo Domains

DNJournal.com released their cover story this month, Rob Grant.  What I find interesting is that Rob built his domain empire with Geo domains, yet the term was never mentioned in the interview.  Overall, this was another great cover story Ron Jackson executed flawlessly.

There are a variety of streams in the Geo domain industry that one can embrace to build their online empire.  I am also an investor in realestate geo domains and believe these will become some of the most valuable domains as the realestate industry evolves and moves to online platforms.  The realestate industry remains behind the power curve when it comes to using the internet to meet consumer needs.  This is definitely an under estimated stream in the geo domain industry.

The domain industry has never had so much targeted emphasis on Geo domains and successful stories of those who embrace them until 2008.  Geo domains are center stage in the domain industry, just as I predicted would happen in December.  This is only the beginning, as the true value of Geo domains will be unlocked in the years to come.

However, there are plenty of people who still doubt the power of geo domains and state they are overrated, even though success stories continue to unfold.  There will be more stories as those come forward to discuss how they built their online empires with Geo domains.  The geo domain industry is evolving.  The proof is always in the pudding!

Yes Rob Grant is sitting on a gold mine. To give you an idea, we are in the process of selling a “city”realestate.com for $20k this month. We don’t usually sell names but David and I decided that this realtor would give life to the name and help himself, his family, and his community. That name otherwise would have made us some PPC money or we could have leased it. In the long run the owner is becoming part of this industry and it helps everyone anytime someone new develops a profitable site.

Great interview on Rob. A passionate visionary, Rob is a true star in the industry. Well done!

Regarding Michael’s response: “We don’t usually sell names but David and I decided that this realtor would give life to the name and help himself, his family, and his community.”

Once again the Castellos know what’s up.

I recently read a post comparing domainers to property owners and contrasting them from web developers. In the real-estate world the best property owners are also real-estate developers. They buy, improve, and sometimes sell.

Take Trump. So he may not be out building roofs with his barehands but that Commodore Hotel didn’t just renovate itself into the Grand Hyatt alone now did it?

Personally I feel that parked domains (and I do have them) are more like real estate agents; acting as information sources from where any person can get details about property matters and following the sale of a property receives a portion of the commission (aka ppc).

Hail to the Castellos : )

He has built a profitable business model around a regionalized niche. The real estate industry is the most competitive industry around the world. He has successfully tapped into this market and his expansion into travel sites is a natural expansion of his market.
