The GeoDomain Expo, A “Must Attend” Event
As widely reported today, the dates for the Geodomain Expo have been announced and will be held in Chicago from 10-12 July. This is the first time the conference will be designed to embrace all geo domains, to include ccTLDs and IDNs. AssociatedCities.com and the Kelsey Group will be sponsoring this historical event that will place the geo domain industry center stage in mainstream media once again.
Last month, the Kelsey Group introduced Geo domains to mainstream media in a session hosted by Dan Pulcrano in their Drilling Down on Local Conference in Seattle, Wa. The Kelsey Group is the leading provider of strategic research and analysis, data and competitive metrics on Yellow Pages, electronic directories, local search, SMB advertising and local media. They are also responsible for the Kelsey Report, the premier market analysis and strategic planning resource for the worldwide Yellow Pages industry, covering print and online directories, M&A activities, sales force best practices, SMB tracking and global trends.
This joint venture will enable geo domain owners to reach the local media market. Setting the course for a perfect storm brewing to reach new levels of success for geo domain owners and local content publishers.
Prices to attend the Expo have been competitively priced and are among the best prices in the domain industry to network with proven professionals in both the local market and domain industry. The early bird fee has been set at $595.00 thru 31 May, and $695.00 thru 10 July. If you are unsure if you will attend, you can still register at the door the day of the event for $795.00.
The Expo will be held at the W hotel and rates have been negotiated for attendees. Room prices have been set at $229.00 a night. There will be a cocktail party the night of the 10th of July designed to meet, greet, and network before the next days sessions. You can view the complete game plan for the event by visiting AssociatedCities.com.
I will be attending this event and look forward to meeting everyone in person. This is a mandatory event if you are serious about the geo domain industry and developing domains for a local audience. I will create a group tonight on GeoDomainer.com for those who want to begin networking before attending the event in July. Things are definitely heating up in the geo domain industry.
